Add some DIY Typography to your halloween decor with this easy BOO! DIY Halloween Typography Vase!
Hands up if you never get out of Target without spending at least $50. The whole “make a list and stick to it” thing? Out the window the minute I hit the home decor section or the dollar section. And lord help me if I go through the kids bedding section because that is where I find unicorn sheets I never knew I needed (and I did, let’s be honest). What is your favorite random Target buy?
Anyhoo, Halloween is in full effect at the good ol’ Targé and I came home with some interesting decor. One of my favorite random finds was not in the home decor or halloween sections, but from the party/craft section. Target has a wonderful selection of craft items and they’re exactly what you’d expect…cute and trendy. I ended up with this paper mache BOO sign that you’re supposed to paint… but I ended up taking it a step further.
Have a look and see what got made!

BOO! DIY Halloween Typography Vase
What you need:
Spritz BOO! Sign)
Craft Knife
Silver Spray Paint (or color of your choosing)
Halloween Fake Flowers
Wire Cutters
If you want to make a different spooky vase to go with this one, check out the 5 Minute Skull Vase!
Using your craft knife, slice open the top most part of each letter. Leave about a centimeter on each side and don’t worry about the cardboard pieces inside.
Spraypaint the sign silver. Make sure you get the sides and crevices between the words. Let dry for 15 minutes. Repeat if your coat looks patchy.
Cut the flowers 2 inches from the top using wire cutters. You can use scissors, but the wire in the middle tends to be really thick, so save yourself some time (and your fingers!) and get some cheapy wire cutters.
Fill your BOO! DIY Halloween Typography Vase with cut fake flowers and display on your mantle… or dungeon…whatever, I’m not here to judge.
