I’m finally jumping into this adult coloring trend… I know! I know! None of you were surprised. I get it. That being said, I’m with kiddos so much that I just end up coloring in their books and we call it a day. I’ve also been falling back in love with crayons. Colored pencils are great and all, but crayons can be so versatile… that and its usually what we have around the house so littles don’t accidentally poke their eyes out.
But I digress… One of my favorite things to have at the coffee table during a get together are fun coloring pages. I feel that they give people something to do while they’re chatting or waiting for others to come. They also really set the mood for a fun creative party. For my Galentines day party this year I created my own printable Galentines Coloring Page with one of my favorite Leslie Knope sayings!
Hoes before bros
Ovaries before brovaries
Uteruses before duderuses

This year I got super creative and also made some fun layered ring crayons with some products from Oriental Trading. Guests were encouraged to “put a ring on it” and color to their hearts content!

Layered Ring Crayons
What you’ll need:
Crayons
small paper cups
Toothpicks
Silicone ring mold
Craft knife
cutting board (optional)
Start by setting aside 5 to 6 small paper cups. You’ll use these to sort your crayon colors. I used one for Red, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green and Purple.
Pull out your crayons and divest them of their paper coating. I find the easiest way is to use the craft knife to slice down the side of the paper and simply peel it off. Break each crayon apart and place the pieces in it’s designated color cup.
Time to melt the crayons!
Oven Directions: Place each color cup directly into a cupcake pan, cup and everything. Heat at 250* for 10-15 minutes. Use the toothpicks to stir the melted crayon in the cup to prevent any lumps. Pull each up out one at a time to add a layer. Crayons set really fast so work fast and place the cup back in the oven to keep it melty.
Let the crayons set for 15 minutes and you’re ready to go!
