Show your holiday spirit or lack thereof with a sassy christmas clutch with Cricut! These are my favorite gifts to make and give this year!
You’d think with my schedule I’d just make everyone a card or something easy for Christmas and be done with it. Nope. I apparently love to self sabbotage and decided to personalize gifts to my friends, nanny families, and clients. In case you’re wondering… that’s a lot! If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you may have seen what I lovingly refer to as “weeding day” where I weeded approximately 12897 projects and one really complicated elephant.
Am I done yet? Heck no! But I got so excited about these Sassy Christmas Clutch that I really wanted to share them with you guys! Honestly, I think they’re stinkin cute and am particularly obsessed with adding the phrase “AF” to everything (if you couldn’t tell).
I found these in the Dollar Section at Target for $3 a piece so you can bet I hit up every target in driving distance to make sure I had enough. They have some seriously cute “alternative” holiday colors that I may have gone a little overboard. Ooof my wallet!

Supplies:
Fabric zipper pouch or clutch
Cut Files – There are 4 total to choose from!
Heat Transfer or Permanent adhesive vinyl
Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker
Iron
Start by loading your chosen design into design space. They’re PNG files so you can upload and then select “Simple” image. Save as a cut file. Load the image into the canvas and size to fit your bag. My bags were 5×7 so I sized my images as 4×6 just to be on the safe side.
If you’re using HTV, mirror the cut and get let the Cricut do it’s work! Weed your finished vinyl.
To adhere your vinyl to the PVC bag, make sure your bag is free of any debris. Then place your image face down onto the bag (so that it looks correct – if that makes sense). Then, heat your iron to the wool setting with 2 dots.

Cover your design with a piece of fabric, I used a pillow case, and press/iron in 15 second intervals. Check the design after each interval by gently lifting up a corner. If it’s sticks, proceed to another area of the design. This is a long process, but it keeps the plastic of your bag from melting while also adhering the vinyl.
Once everything is adhered, remove the backing and iron again for a few 15 second bursts – using the pillow case as a shield.
And voila! You have you very own Sassy Christmas Clutch to basically tell everyone how festive or jolly you are! Don’t forget to PIN this project to your Crafts and Gifts Pinterest boards!
