The day is upon us Football fans! Whether you’re a Bronco’s fan or a Panther’s fan, its going down!
I must admit, I’m not the biggest football fan. I only recently understood what a “down” was, and lord help me if you ask me what a safety is because I have NO clue. But I LOVE watching the games, especially the Super Bowl, I used to watch it only for the commercials, but since I’ve fallen in with a group of super fans, I really enjoy watching the game, if only for their reactions.
One of my FAVORITE things though, is the gameday table. Seriously, food at any gathering makes me giddy! So here are my top 10 snacks and appetizers that are sure to wow your friends at your Super Bowl party. Go Team!
And while we’re on the subject of dips, dig right into some creamy hot chipotle dip from I Wash You Dry. Its not your usual cheese dip so it gives your guests something out of the ordinary, and is probably one of the easiest things to serve. Just put it on a table with some chips and guests are good to go!
If you have some vegetarians, allergies, low carb-ers, etc. in your group, cauliflower is a great substitute for chicken. Cauliflower Buffalo Wings with Bleu Cheese Avocado Dip from Well Plated are baked not fried, and combine two of my great loves: spicy and starchy!
Pizza. Its not a football party without pizza. Seriously, there is always so much pizza…. and I LOVE it!!! I’m not gonna lie, I saw these Mini Tortilla Crust Pizzas from Recipe by Photo on Pinterest and have been a bit obsessed with them ever since. They’re like the adult version of Bagel Bites and we all know how I feel about adulting.
Bacon? Yes please! I don’t know about you, but our group thrives on bacon (our arteries don’t matter on Super bowl sunday) My friend Tanya makes Bacon-Wrapped Smokies every year and they are OMG-Amazing! Head over to Love Sweet Love for these little bites of OMG-AMAZING.
Its not game day without loaded potato skins. I love these because they’re like little boats of cheese and bacon AND they can be used to scoop dip and stuff. Substituting sweet potatoes give the traditional appetizer a new twist. from Sally’s Baking Addiction
I can’t get over how adorable and easy these Broncos and Panthers Rice Krispie treats are! Two Sisters Crafting has them for both of your teams, so at least you’ll know who is cheering for which team! They have themes for all of the NFL teams, so these are perfect for any game day!
Guys, game day makes me a dork. Like seriously. Bt I lso need simple, and let me tell you, every time I want to make cake pops, they take FOREVER! Don’t get me wrong, they’re delicious, they just take a while. So, imagine my surprise when I saw that MadinCrafts used brownies for theirs! These little Pom Pom brownie bites are great for friends who aren’t super in to sweets, but still like something to grab and go!
What are you making for your game day party? What are your favorite traditions?
