Listen up! Stop bringing wine as a gift to parties without dressing it up a little. Seriously, you’d wrap other presents! So why not wine? Yeah, you’re going to drink it anyway, but it is a gift. Put it in a bag or something.
What? You don’t have a bag laying around the house? They’re not cute enough, festive enough, for you? Don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. Get thee to a craft store and let’s get started! You don’t need to know how to sew either!
If I’m being honest right now, a wine gift bag also makes it a lot easier to carry cupcakes and wine without being scared I’m going to spill anything. 😉
No Sew DIY Wine Gift Bag
Materials: Jute Wine Bag, 1 yard Pom Pom Trim, Hot Glue Gun and glue sticks, Acrylic Paint, Stencil Pouncer
Time: 15 Minutes
Cost: Under $10
Start by using your foam pouncer to create polka dots on your bag. I used a smaller pouncer and randomly placed the dots. Just make sure you’re pressing down enough with the pouncer for the color to adhere to the jute. OR If you want a vintage look, lightly press down so you’ve got jute showing through.
Let dry.
Grab your hot glue gun and glue your pom pom trim to the top most seam of your jute wine gift bag. I like to put down an inch or so of glue and then press down. This can get really hot so be careful with your fingers.
Go around the entire top of the bag and overlap your ends.
Grab a bottle of wine and you’re good to go! I love grabbing this for summer parties or festive spring gifts. I’m not going to lie, these were so quick I might have made a few extra! Want one?
