There is nothing more fun than getting the ladies together for brunch. Well, okay maybe laser tag or Disneyland, but that’s beside the point. What I love about brunch is that we usually host it in the middle of the day on a weekend when no one has to work and it’s the most chill afternoon ever. This Pineapple Flamingo brunch? Great for a summer afternoon when you feel like hanging out and watching Moana or Lilo and Stitch.
Throw your own Pineapple Flamingo Brunch
For this brunch, I started with creating the backdrop. I used simple coordinating paper plates that I got from Oriental Trading. I also created a Flamingo/Monstera banner with my Cricut Explore Air 2 and strung it up with some bakers twine.
For the mimosas, each guest was given her own pineapple cup to drink out of with a fun flamingo straw! It’s amazing how the little things can really make a party memorable. Want more luau decor? Check out Oriental Trading’s Luau shop for everything you could possibly need!
Those tropical cake push pops? Yep! They were boozy. I got the set from Oriental Trading, but the stand was silver so I painted that sh*t gold… because why not?
Tip: When you’re placing the cake push pops in the stand start with the bottom layer and place them on alternating sides. If you have a helper, just have them hold it steady.
Finally, even though it’s a “brunch and chill” kinda party, I still wanted to have an “invitation to play” set up for my friends so I set up a table to make these fun flamingo tote bags. They were super easy and the gal pals loved that they had something to take home afterwards that was useful!
how do you brunch?
